North saved by Kirkstall Brewery

After the worrying news that North was under threat from administration last week, it has today been revealed that Kirkstall Brewery have stepped in to save them, as well as the jobs within both the brewery and associated North taprooms.

An email update from North read:

Today we are pleased to announce that we have secured additional funding through a sale that allows us to continue as an independent brewery; run by our existing management team from our Springwell site.

Our future has been secured, following the sale out of administration to Steve Holt, from Kirkstall Brewery.

Steve has been a friend of North for almost 30 years and has also been a pioneer in the UK craft beer scene. We share a passion for beer and the hospitality industry.

We are pleased to have found a solution for our team and the legacy of the North brand.

With close neighbours Ridgeside seemingly disappearing a couple of weeks back this is uplifting news that another local brewery won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
